Summer Social Group

Our summer camp is meticulously crafted to equip children with the foundational skills crucial for a successful transition into kindergarten and beyond. Rooted in evidence-based practices and led by experienced educators, our program prioritizes social cognitive concepts, social and play skills, understanding emotions, and teaching effective coping strategies.

Key Focus Areas:

  • Social Cognitive Concepts: Through engaging activities and interactive sessions, children will develop a deeper understanding of social dynamics, perspective-taking, and empathy.

  • Social and Play Skills: We cultivate teamwork, cooperation, and effective communication through group play, collaborative projects, and structured activities.

  • Understanding Emotions: Our camp empowers children to recognize and express their emotions in healthy ways, fostering emotional intelligence and self-awareness.

  • Teaching Coping Skills: In a nurturing environment, children learn invaluable coping strategies to manage stress, navigate challenges, and build resilience.

  • Language-Based Learning: At our camp, language is at the heart of every activity. Through storybooks, role-playing, and guided discussions, children enhance their verbal communication skills, expand vocabulary, and strengthen language comprehension in a supportive and inclusive setting.

Schedule for Each Session

Circle Time

Circle Time will begin with greetings and welcomes, creating a nurturing atmosphere where every child feels valued, seen, and embraced. Our educators will introduce the theme of the day and activities while targeting important classroom skills as well as age-appropriate social interactions.

Music & Story Time

Kids will engage in songs, rhymes, or chants based on the theme of the day enhancing their auditory skills, language development, and early literacy. We will engage in a themed, interactive read-aloud, igniting their curiosity, creativity, and love for stories while fostering a language rich environment and presenting age-appropriate language concepts.

Craft and/or Sensory Play

Children will complete a themed craft for the day or engage in a sensory experience. Art and sensory play isn't just fun—it's fundamental to early childhood development, promoting cognitive skills, language development, and problem-solving abilities as children make sense of their sensory experiences.

Free Play

Play stations will be set up for kids to pick from while educators supervise, model, and monitor play and social communication skills. Through play, children learn to communicate, collaborate, and connect with their peers, building friendships and social skills in a supportive and inclusive environment.
